About

Welcome, dear!

My name is Fatima, a German solo musician, living in Aalborg/Denmark since a couple of years now. I´m a singer, guitarist, and composer of catchy and soulful metal music.

My songs can be described as melancholic, dark and emotional with elements of Heavy Metal and Goth Rock. I love to write Dark Folk songs too, which I play on my acoustic guitar.

I consider myself a passionate online musician using social media platforms to share my new ideas, songs or covers. Beside making music, I´m a very caring mother, who loves to be out with the family. I have other goals and plans I´m working on, that I might be sharing in my newsletter at some point.

The Origin of the Name Cadukeya

I found the name by looking into the Greek mythology, I stumbled over the name(s) Caduceus (latin) and Kerikeyon (Greek). This is the name of the staff of the Greek God Hermes/Mercury (called Mercurius in Latin). The heralds (messengers of God) Iris and Felicitas were also depicted with a similar staff. The wand/staff was symbolized like this:

“In Roman iconography, it was often depicted being carried in the left hand of Mercury, the messenger of the gods, guide of the dead, and protector of merchants, shepherds, gamblers, liars, and thieves.” (Hornblower, Spawforth, The Oxford Classical Dictionary, third ed., Oxford 1996, p. 690 f.)

I gave the name a female and unique touch by transforming it to Cadukeya.
